Collision on Route 144

United Fire Company's Spring Ridge Station 33 along with Rescue Squad 3 and New Market Fire District's Rescue Engine 153 were called out to Route 144 at Terra Firma Road for a reported vehicle collision with rescue. Upon arriving at the scene, units found a two vehicle collison confirming entrapment and the need for aviation. Units went to work stabilizing the vehicles and determining the need for extrication. Crews worked together to effect the rescue. Patients were treated on the scene by personnel from the Spring Ridge Station along with Frederick County ALS. Patient care was then transferred to the Maryland State Police Aviation Division as well as a helicopter from Med Star. Units then cleared the scene releasing the scene to the Maryland State Police an the State Highway Administration.
