Units from United Fire Company's FS03, FS31 along with Independent Hose Company's Ambulance 18 were alerted for a vehicle collision reportedly on Interstate 70 Eastbound at Route 85. Engine 311 arrived, at the corrected location of Interstate 70 Eastbound on the bridge over Route 15/Interstate 270, to find a single vehicle on the left shoulder with its rear end perched upon the bridge. Chief 3B arrived simultaneously with Engine 311, as E311 established command and quickly assessed the situation. Engine 311confirming incident to be property damage only, placing responding units in service prior to arrival. Maryland State Highway Administration's CHART unit arrived on the scene to control vehicular traffic. SHA's CHART unit removed the vehicle from the bridge and Fire/Rescue units returned to service.
