Fire and rescue were dispatched to a report of a fire at Tamko Asphalt early Friday evening.
According to fire officials, the fire was contained to one of the production units. Fire and rescue personnel advanced a hoseline to the top of the equipment in preparation for cooling the tank and product if necessary.
Fire and rescue personnel and Safety personnel for Tamko determined that the fire had self-extinguished and the tank was allowed to cool on its own.
