Working House Fire

By Chief Officer Jerry Dorsey Jr
March 19, 2012

At 2143 hours the Box Alarm was sounded for 7208 Drought Spring Drive for the house on fire. Battalion Chief 901 arrived on scene with heavy fire throughout the home. Chief 3 and other command level officers along with the first units arrived quickly and began throwing ladders and making an agressive interior attack before being evacuated due to deteriorating conditions inside. Once the structure was reassesed, crews again made entry and began knocking the remaining fire. After making what progress they could, crews exited the structure and a ladder pipe operation was used to extinguish the remaining fire in the structure. Despite poor weather conditions with a thunderstorm raining down on the crews a good job was done by all tonight.

Units: E-31, RS-3, A-38, C-3
