On Tuesday, December 13, 2011, shortly before 6:00 p.m., fire and rescue responded from several companies to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash on Monocacy Boulevard near the ramp to Interstate 70.

The head-on crash sent 6 people to Frederick Memorial Hospital. None of the injuries were life-threatening. The cause of the crash was being investigated by the Frederick Police Department.

A total of four ambulances were required to transport the six patients. Monocacy Boulevard was closed for approximately 45-minutes.
