By Chief Officer Michael Kehne

At approx. 1500 hours E311 was dispatched to an outside gas leak in front of 5702 Grove Road. E311 arrived to find at 6" line that was struck by a front end loader, with the operator abandoned his equipment, and the gas was free flowing. E311 requested additional resources and placed a protection line in service. There was only one exposure that was questioned and readings were taken in the building with negative results. The gas company secured the leak and units were placed in service by Chief 3-2. The Frederick County Sheriffs Department assisted with traffic control.
