At approx. 1320 hours, Box 7-14 was dispatched for a bedroom on fire in a residence located in the 8600 block of Wiles Court, Middletown. As units were marking up, ECC advised recieving additonal calls reporting house on fire with fire showing. C12-1 arrived on scene with a two story single family dwelling and reported heavy fire showing from two windows on the first floor with extension into the 2nd floor and attic area. Command was established, which requested the Safety Task Force along with a Tanker Task Force. Engine 72 arrived and dropped a supply line and advance one 1 3/4 handline through side A for fire attack, Engine 122 picked up the supply line and pulled a back-up line to the second floor to control extension. C3-2 arrrived and reported to Command, C3-2 reported three stories in the rear with heavy smoke pushing from the 2nd and 3rd floors. C3-2 made entry through side C, and had a face to face with C7-1. C3-2 was assigned Division 1 as C7-1/C-3 had Division 2, Division 1 reported room off on first floor with bulk of fire knocked down and checking for extension. Division 2 reported two rooms off with extension into attic area, with the fire being knocked down, crews were checking for further extension. Command requested a second alarm for manpower, as crews were working on containing fire on both floors and attic area. As more personnel arrived crews were rotated through the interior to open up and hit hot spots. Command reported fire out holding 1st alarm and part of the safety to assist with overhaul and mopping up, Command was terminated and units were placed in service, the scene was turned over to the County and State FM Office for investigation. No injuries were reported. Good Job by all for keeping the fire contained to the " Delta" side of the residence.
