At approx. 1645 hrs units from stations 3 and 1 were dispatched for a MVC w/possible entrapment on Route 340 at I70. FD 201 was first on scene with the location being RT304 East Bound just West of I70, the Chief reported a single vehicle (SUV) off the road and in the woods. FD 201 reported 1 patient trapped with BLS injuries, Duty 3 arrived and established the RT 340 Command. Command held both Rescue pieces, Engine Company and Ambulance. Rescue Squad 3 and Rescue Engine 11 arrived and stabilized the vehicle using the picket system, Para-Techs and Z-Mags, Engine 31 arrived and pulled a protection line. Once stabilization was complete the patient was removed via: front window, the patient was loaded in Ambulance 149 and transported to FMH Pri.3 for check-up. Command was terminated and units were placed in service, the extrication took approx. 10 minutes to complete, scene was turned over to MSP for investigation.
