UNITED STEAM FIRE COMPANY LENDS HELPING HAND TO BROTHERS IN BLUE

By Officer John Arnold
May 16, 2009

While enjoying a quiet Saturday at the station after a few mid morning crashes in the first due. The volunteer and career at Station 3 was informed that the Officer Mark Bremer Memorial Bike Ride would be proceeding down market street around 1PM. While conversing with Police Auxiliary staff about the ride and the number of bikes they had attending it was also mentioned that they were short on the number of staff they had shutting down intersections in the down town area. Nothing more was needed to be said. The engine crew was rounded up and a intersection was assigned to them. This helped kept the ride going. A video recorder was also set up in front of station 3 and the ride past the station was tapped. We hope to add this to our video section soon.
