The day started off kinda slow. Crews finished there checks, did some PT and started there daily training, when all at once things broke loose. The rescue squad and engine company went to a hazmat box in stations 31's area that required assistance from the Maryland State Fire Marshall's bomb squad unit and Maryland Department of Enviroment. As the units were clearing this assignment the tones dropped again for a house fire on the south side of town. This was a vacant dwelling that was fully involved. Just as the units cleared this assignment the company was hit yet again for a house fire up north in Woodsboro. Units there went on the scene with heavy fire from the 2nd division and had extension into the attic. This brought engine tanker 34 yet again on the water supply taskforce. Things settled down around midnight and stayed that way for the better part of the shift.
