Mid after noon while enjoying a quiet sunday and enjoying a little football on the tv, communications sounded a 33 BOX for a report of woods fire with the potential of endangering a home. Engine companies 33,15,3,2 and the ladder compaines from stations 4 and 23 were on the street with in moments. Smoke could be seen from the city limits. E331 arrived on scene 1st and advised that they had a section of woodland involved about 50ft from a home. The County EMS Battalion Chief arrived POV a short time later and assumed the command. Command advised the fire was out and there would be some overhaul to ensure no rekindles. Command held 331 31 34 153 156 clearing the rest of the assignment.
