As the 134th Annual Convention and Conference of the Maryland State Firefighters Association comes to a close in Ocean City, we would like to congratulate all of the nominees and award recipients recognized throughout the week. We are especially proud to recognize members of our own department for their outstanding accomplishments.

Chief Marc McNeal was inducted into the Hall of Fame, one of the Association’s highest honors, recognizing distinguished service to the MSFA, an individual department, or a county fire and rescue service. This recognition reflects his many years of dedication, leadership, and commitment to the fire service.

FF/EMT Joshua Ogongi was presented with the William E. “Rudy” Radisch Firefighter of the Year Memorial Award for outstanding citizenship and exemplary job achievement. This prestigious award highlights his dedication to serving both the department and the community.

We are also proud to announce that United Steam Fire Engine Company No. 3 earned 3rd Place in Formal Training statewide, recognizing the commitment of our members to professional development and continuing education.

Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees and award recipients, and a special congratulations to Chief McNeal, FF/EMT Ogongi, and all of our members who helped make these achievements possible. Your hard work, dedication, and service continue to make our department proud. 🚒🏆
