Fire/Rescue Responds to Smoke at Elmwood Terrace Apartments

Fire and rescue responded to building "J" at Elmwood Terrace Apartments on Saturday afternoon for smoke in the building.

Upon arrival, firefighters quickly determined that the smoke was coming from an apartment on the first floor and investigation found a pan that had been left unattended on the stove. Firefighters also located and assisted an occupant inside of the apartment. The occupant was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for a check-up.

Firefighters removed the smoke from the building and the occupants were allowed to return to their apartments.
