Workers from a Giant grocery store in Frederick had to be evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a toxic chemical freon leaked. An alarm alerted pharmacy employees that there was a Freon leak in the store.
Freon is a toxic chemical that's found in air conditioners and refrigeration systems. Crews from Fort Detrick and County Hazmat Teams made 3 recons to make sure the chemical was contained and control.
