| The members of United Steam Fire Engine Company #3 would like to remind all citizens of Frederick County and surrounding Counties, to change your batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors when you change your clocks on November 1st. Also take time to clean your detector by vacuming the dust and dirt they may have collected over time, if your detector is more than 10 years old you may consider replacing it. Also check all levels of the house for the presence of a smoke detector and test to make sure the detector works by pressing the test button until you here the beep. Remember smoke/carbon monoxide detectors save lives. |
