| At approximately 10:37pm, Engine 311 along with Truck 41 were called to 4650 Wedgewood Blvd. for a commercial fire alarm. Upon arrival, Engine 311 quickly determined the need to upgrade the assignment due to smoke conditions from the building on the Charlie side of the building. Engine 311 took a position on the Delta side of the building with a hydrant. Truck 41 continued on to the Alpha side of the building and proceeded to set up the ladder for access to the roof. Chief 3-1 arrived on the scene after the upgrade and assumed command from the Lieutenant on Engine 311, who then became the interior officer. Incoming units proceeded to their pre-designated assignments and personnel were assigned tasks accordingly. Interior advising small fire which was extinguished however a large volume of smoke which would require ventilation. Command requesting State and Frederick County's Fire Marshalls. Command also requesting the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. Upon completion of ventilation operations, command was terminated. Remaining units retuned to service as ready, the incident scene was then turned over to the State Fire Marshall's Office and the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. |
