One Trapped On I70

At approx. 2015hrs Units from station's 3 and 1 were dispatched for a vehicle accident with possible entrapment. C3 arrived on scene with a location of I70 WBL just West of Route 180, confirming two vehicles involved and one trapped. C3 established I70 Command and requested Co.12 dispatched for LZ for Trooper 3. RS3 arrived and stabalized vehicle as E31 placed a protection line in service, C3-2 arrived and was assigned extrication group and worked with RS3 crew to remove both doors and B-Post on the driver's side. The patient was free in approx. 10 minutes and turned over to EMS for treatment. Command reported extrication complete, patient #1 transported to Washington County Trauma Center and patient #2 transported to FMH with minor injuries. Command was terminated and units were placed in service, scene turned over to MSP for investigation.

Units: Engine 31, Rescue Squad 3, Ambulance 38, C3, C3-2
Mutual Aid: Rescue Engine 11, Ambulance 19, Engine 122, State Highway Administration (traffic control), Trooper 3, Maryland State Police, Frederick County Sheriffs Department.
