At approx. 1122hrs units from station 3 and 31 were dispatched for an auto accident in the area of I270 at New Design Road. E311 running the North bound assignment, reported the accident was located in the South bound lanes just South of New Design Road. Rescue Squad 3 arrived and reported a three vehicle accident with one trapped, the Officer from Rescue Squad 3 established Command and requested ALS. C3-2 arrived and had a face to face with Command and assumed Command as the Officer from Rescue Squad 3 was assigned extrication group. Command reported extrication complete and patient being ground transported to Washington County Trauma Center. Command reported no other transports needed, Command was terminated and units were placed in service, scene was turned over to Maryland State Police for investigation.
